-Provide overall management of the Department of Materials in the following areas: Human Resources for Staff and Academic Personnel; Student Services; Information Technology; Recharge Facilities Management; Space and Resource Management; Laboratory Safety; Budgetary and Financial Management; and Contract and Grant Management
-Collaborates with department chair on long-term planning, special projects, appointments, instructional computing, and other departmental matters
-Liaison to divisional control point
-Provides leadership and oversight on all financial and academic personnel–related matters, including policies and procedures
