UCSB Materials Professor Raphaële Clément has been awarded the 2023 Materials Today Rising Star Award and the ISE Prize for Electrochemical Materials Science.
The MT energy Rising Star Award is awarded in recognition of the contributions of an early career scientist in energy materials. Professor Clément's contributions to the materials community by way of research and publications was recognized by the panel of judges and awarded this years award.
The ISE Prize for Electrochemical Materials Science is awarded to a young scientist for their contributions in the field of electrochemical material science, including corrosion, electrodeposition and surface treatment. Professor Clément was selected by a committee of the three officers of the ESE Division 4 and two distinguished scientist appointed by the ISE Executive Committee. The winner is expected to present at the Symposium of ISE and will receive 1000 euro.
