Professor Robert (Bob) Odette has been selected as a 2016 Fellow of The Minerals, Metals and Materials Society (TMS), in recognition of his “sustained contributions to irradiation effects in materials, leading to improved regulatory guidelines for nuclear reactor safety and development of advanced materials for fusion energy”. As a TMS Fellow, Prof. Odette is honored as a premier expert and scholar in the field of materials science, engineering, and technology.

Prof. Odette joins an elite group of materials scientists, as TMS has a limit of 100 total Society Fellows at any given time. The pinnacle award was presented to Prof. Odette at the annual TMS meeting held in Nashville in February.
